Application and Registration Details

Space permitting, applications will be accepted through July 19th. Registration will be available for accepted applicants on a monthly basis.

Enrollment is limited! If a track becomes full before the application is received, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and notified when space becomes available. Tuition cost is $1,800 for regular applicants and $1,260 for students. Acceptance decisions will be made on a monthly basis, communicated via email, and will include a link to registration and payment. 

A nonrefundable deposit of $200 is due within two weeks of acceptance. All applicants should be prepared to provide payment in full to Washington University for the balance of their tuition in U.S. dollars by July 19, 2023 or for those accepted after July 19, within two weeks of notification of acceptance.

Prerequisites

Attendees should be familiar with quantitative descriptive and analytical techniques commonly used in their discipline (e.g., data visualization or regression analysis). Some experience with statistical software or programming languages is preferred. Attendees will need to bring their own laptop (PC or Mac) for use during the Institute.

Payment

A $200 non-refundable deposit is due within two weeks of notification of acceptance. Full tuition payments of $1,800 (standard rate) or $1,260 (student rate) must be submitted or postmarked on or before July 19, 2023, or for those accepted after July 19th, within two weeks of notification of acceptance.

Payment Options

Payment methods accepted include US Visa and Mastercard, check, internal WashU funds, and wire transfers. At the time of registration, credit card payments may be made online. Information needed for WashU fund payments will also be collected at this time. Checks should be made payable to Washington University and postmarked within 10 business days of registration.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Institute reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, in which case the full tuition cost, including the deposit, will be refunded. Notification of withdrawal must be received via email to SSSI@wustl.edu on or before July 24, 2023. For withdrawals, refunds of full tuition (minus the $200 nonrefundable deposit) will be processed within 30 days following the end of the program. No tuition refunds will be given due to cancellation after July 24th.

Personal Computers

A computer (PC or Mac) is essential and required for enrolled students. We recognize computers to be an extension of the learning tools needed to successfully participate in our courses.
