What is the schedule for the week?

SSSI activities begin at 9 am on Monday morning and wrap up around 5 pm. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will run from 9 am to approximately 3:30 pm. On Friday, the final day of the Institute, we will start at 9 am and finish at 12:30 pm. When the Institute schedule is finalized (about 6 weeks in advance) you can review it here.

What does SSSI provide for participants?

Your tuition fee covers 4.5 days of instruction including plenary presentations and workshops and a welcome gift. Each day we will provide light breakfasts, coffee and tea, and a full lunch. On the first day of the institute, we will serve a heartier breakfast as well as host an afternoon welcome reception with refreshments. Participants are also invited to attend several social events in the evenings such as happy hours and an evening at the Missouri Botanical Garden which includes dinner and an open bar.

Where do I go on the first day?

All sessions will be held at the Washington University in St. Louis Danforth Campus in Hillman Hall. If you will be driving to campus and do not have a WashU parking permit, you can park in the East End garage at a cost of $15 per day. For full visitor parking info including detailed parking fees, visit https://parking.wustl.edu/parking/visitor/.

More detailed information about where to go on the first day will be sent to participants the week before the Institute begins.
